MODULE CLEAN ME FOR 521 SERIES

The ESL 505 CleanMe module serves as an interface between a
500 Series two-wire smoke detector and a UL Listed control panel.
The module interprets the detector's trouble (CleanMeŽ) signal
and provides an output to the control panel via relays. This signal
allows installers to remotely receive a message when the detector
needs maintenance, such as cleaning, before a false alarm occurs.
The signal also indicates detector trouble such as a hardware
fault. The module can also be used to convert two-wire smoke detectors
to a four-wire input on a control panel. This feature is useful
when a panel does not provide inputs for a two-wire smoke
detector loop. The module can accommodate up to 20 smoke detectors.

The ESL 500 Series including the 521B and 521BXT self-diagnostic, two- wire photoelectric smoke detectors are the industry's first conventional direct-wire smoke detectors with analog features such as drift compensation, multi-criteria detection and remote maintenance/trouble reporting (CleanMe). The 500 Series continually monitor their own sensitivity and operational status, and provide a visual indication if they drift out of the sensitivity range or fail internal diagnostics. Smoke!-In-A-Can Extension Tube, Use With Sm-200 To Direct Smoke Flow

NFPA 72, Table 7.2.2, states that "detectors shall be tested in place to ensure smoke entry into the sensing chamber and an alarm response." Smoke! in a can lets you meet this requirement without contaminating the detector, without affecting its sensitivity, and without increasing the risk of false alarms. Patented formula evaporates completely.
Smoke! in a can is UL listed for all brands and models of photoelectric or ionization type smoke detectors.
